We have a great deal of experience installing fully integrated electronic systems that provide our customers complete interfacing for reliable data. Sailing instruments, Autopilots, communication systems and computer hardware can all be installed to work with one another to provide an owner with the ultimate in boating technology and increased safety.

A waterproof, dustproof, completely sealed, passively cooled CPU–is
the foundation of Jamestown Electronics integrated computing, navigation, and communication systems. The marine environment
is poisonous to computer systems vulnerable to corrosion, heat, humidity, vibration, impacts and voltage fluctuations. Desktop computers, even laptop computers, weren't built to survive such
 harsh conditions. "Maximized" computers are like "Marinized"
engines–a makeshift solution, a few parts changed but nothing essentially different.

Custom Interface Panels

Left: E-Mail-Our custom designed interface panels simplify the navigation and communications processes on your boat. This e-mail panel provides the plug for your laptop so that you can send and receive e-mail.

Center: Nav-Customers can use this custom designed interface panel to receive GPS information and the compiled output waypoint is sent to the autopilot.

Right: Waypoint Source-This custom designed panel provides the boat owner with a simple way to select a waypoint source and send this information to an integrated system. This panel also gives you an easy visual reference to ascertain your current waypoint source. 1`

Add-ons are a frequent customer request and include additions to their current sailing instruments for the improvement of their safety or speed around the race course. GPS and radar systems provide boat owners with the security of knowing exactly where they are. Our experience with a diverse range of products allows us to suggest a system that is not only effective, but also geared to a particular owner's capabilities. Our customers also rely on our expertise in making decisions on monitors, computers and keyboards that work well with the available space and demands of a boater’s activities.
